Online and In Person Premarital Christian Couples Counseling
Premarital Christian couples counseling aims to improve your relationship with your partner and helps to set a strong foundation for marriage right from the start. At Friends of the Family, our online and in-person premarital Christian couples counseling creates a safe space for couples to discuss important concerns and issues to pave the way for a healthy marriage. We focus on improving communication strategies, setting realistic expectations, and working towards conflict resolution. The foundational material we use is called PREPARE/ENRICH and it covers topics of communication, conflict resolution, partner style and habits, financial management, leisure activities, affection and sexuality, family and friends, relationship roles, and spiritual beliefs. The goal of the program is to help premarital couples prepare for marriage (PREPARE) and married couples enrich their marriage (ENRICH) by increasing their awareness of relationship strengths and growth areas and providing them with skills to improve their relationship.

We offer two engaging options to suit your preferences: join our empowering group workshops where you’ll join in with other couples on the same journey, or opt for personalized counseling with one of our trained facilitators. Even if you’re not in our local area, we can still serve you – we provide convenient online premarital counseling. Embrace this opportunity to enhance your relationship and embark on a fulfilling journey together. Nearly married and newly married couples are welcome!

Group Workshop – In Person Only

Join a few other couples at a one-time workshop that covers 10 topics that are paramount to a couple’s health. This group format allows for critical conversations to be addressed and for couples to learn from each other as well as from the facilitators. After the workshop you and your (future) spouse can meet virtually with one of our trained facilitators for three personalized counseling sessions.

- Online pre-workshop assessment - this allows us to customize the workshop experience to those in attendance
- Workbook and helpful tools
- One 6-hour group in-person workshop
- Three 60-minute post-workshop sessions with one of our qualified facilitators
Investment: $295 per couple
Individual Counseling – Online or In Person:
Meet with one of our trained facilitators for six to eight personalized counseling sessions. You and your partner will take the same assessment to help customize your counseling experience to best address areas that will prepare you for the best chance for a healthy marriage.
